As a little kid with a strict curfew, Matty Robinson would sneak into the family room and watch In Living Color, Mad Tv, and Saturday Night Live whenever they would air. This inspired him to be the class clown during elementary school, by doing impressions of the various characters seen on TV. At the age of 12, he started to do stand-up at family gatherings and churches in the Solano County area. As he grew older, he wanted to pursue all forms of comedy and began doing improv with the Rats In The Alley Sketch & Improv troupe in Vallejo, California back in 2006. In 2009, he moved to Normal, Illinois to study acting at Illinois State University. There he met the friends that he’d not only have for a lifetime, but have the benefit to perform with. Matty is now a resident of Chicago and when he is not performing with his fellow “Sharkies”, he can be seen at ComedySportz on their house team Flamingo, with Pimprov under the name Prince Midas, and performing stand-up around the city of Chicago.
